Second, your pharmacy will have your prescription filled and ready for you. When you pick up your prescription, ask your pharmacy for automatic refills and notifications. Third, use your smartphone, Web tools, or desktop software to set up reminders to take your medications. Fourth, don't forget to take your medications the right amount at the right time. Nothing else matters if you don't take your medications! Fifth, when your current prescription needs to be extended, ask the pharmacy to contact your doctor directly to e-prescribe more refills. Finally, update your EHR - Electronic Health Record - to make sure it is correct and up to date.
